My friend and I did "The Asylum" room and if you're thinking of doing it: DO IT. This was probably the most immersive room I've ever been in and it kept us on our toes until we escaped at the very last second.

Josie was a wonderful hostess and helped to make sure the experience was as great as possible.

Description:

Rolling Hills Asylum was home to the most vicious of criminals, those not deemed able to be institutionalised inside a traditional prison. After closing its doors over 50 years ago, the asylum was left derelict with possessions of previous patients remaining. Rumour has it that it was not just possessions left behind, but also the spirits of those who lived there.

You have broken into the derelict asylum to see if the rumours are in fact true. After feeling uneasy once inside you attempt to leave but you have lost your way. Can you escape from the asylum before the spirits of the patients that remain here capture you!

The 2 of us had a fab afternoon in Asylum, Alex was brilliant as games masters and sent the scene well! Really up beat and fun outside the room, will be back again

My partner and I played the Asylum escape room game on Monday, and it was amazing! The atmosphere, story, puzzles, and decorations were all fantastic. At first, we were concerned it might be more challenging since we aren’t native speakers and there were only two of us, but we had no issues at all. We also loved how the hint system worked, and the game masters, David and Stephen, were absolutely lovely and incredibly friendly! We will definitely come again when we visit Edinburgh.

We had so much fun playing the asylum game at escape reality very challenging and great fun playing this game . Room was surprisingly well themed to suit . Hint system they have was pretty helpful aswell

We completed the Asylum escape room on Saturday. Really enjoyable, and great to get more logical puzzles rather than some places that seem to love applying bizarre logic to some rooms.

My second room at Escape Reality and i'll definitely be back to finish the others.

Great fun doing the asylum themed room! Bob, our game master was very helpful and explained everything fully given it was our first time visiting and doing an escape room, will definitely be back

Me and my boyfriend went to the asylum escapte room which was a really fun challenge! Bob, out game master was so kind to give us 15 extra minutes after out time was up, because we hadn't finished the game. He was really nice and super welcoming and service minded ! Would recommend.

Done the asylum escape room yesterday and it was amazing! I could not fault any of it. The tasks for the room were great and were fun to solve within the atmospheric room. It really got your adrenaline going. The staff were super friendly and our game master DJ was brilliant to.

All round a fabulous day out.

I went with some friends and it was brilliant. We completed the asylum escape room which had some great puzzles that were a good level of difficulty. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun activity to do while in Edinburgh

We played the Asylum room and had a great time! Our game host Noel did a great job and entertained us with the background story for the room. Nice puzzels, well decorated and very friendly people.

Had a great double date here thanks to Stephen and the rest of the team. Felt bad about them having to put up with our antics on the last slot of the evening, but nonetheless Stephen was fantastic and indulged our idiocy. Very immersive experience (we did The Asylum), loads of fun will definitely be back :D

Our group did the Asylum room and the atmosphere and theming were fantastic. Genuinely was an escape from reality in that room, got completely immersed in the experience! We got a bit stuck on a couple of puzzles but the hint system in place - iPads and QR codes around the room at certain points - was fantastic for giving us a nudge in the right direction whilst keeping us competently in the experience of the game. A few parts definitely made us jump at times!

Our game master Alex really made the whole experience. He was fantastic at explaining everything before we started and made us all laugh - especially since one of us had never done an escape room before! He also really got us into the story of the Asylum which helped set the scene and made the experience even more enjoyable. Aaaand a wee shoutout to Calum for playing the victory music when we escaped with time to spare haha.

If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would, fantastic day out all round and we will definitely be back with more people to do the other 5 rooms!

We went to the Escape reality today with my boyfriend. Bob suggested to Asylum room for us.It was quite difficult and we couldn't get out within 1 hour, but it was a great fun :) I loved the puzzles and I am sure we will go back again.

We played the Asylum room. The atmosphere was fantastically creepy and the puzzles really tied in to the story, which isn't always the case in escape rooms! The hint system with the QR codes was also a great twist. David was really enthusiastic and helpful and got us excited for the game. Definitely want to visit again and try some of the other rooms!
