No one will be able to sit this one out! With two to four people escaping the room, you won't miss any clues or puzzles and will have to do your best to triumph. Go team!
This was my 2nd ever room, and overall I had mixed feelings. I did enjoy the experience overall however I found the room to have a few really frustrating flaws that really dampened my enjoyment. Right from the start the very first mini 'puzzle' seemed very unintuitive, and it was only via a voice hint (in-game) that we realised how to progress. Yet even after we'd done what it asked, it still was a fair while before the lights came on and we could finally see what we needed to get through the first door. In one room we entered it starts off well lit, however the first thing I came across ended up plunging the room into darkness with no way to get the light back. Unknowingly making it much harder, since we hadn't checked the rest of that room yet, and so having to use the tiny torch to explore, instead of full light. I think this is a glaring problem, and made that part of the room incredibly frustrating. There was also a projection clue that was fairly obscure. Finally my 2nd biggest issue, there is a prop that is vital for the final room, that has no real explanation as to what it is, or how to use it. All it would've needed is a little pic in the book prop, and a tiny bit of rewording, and it wouldn't have been an issue. So mainly better feedback as to when you're rewarded for completing a puzzle part, better lighting without being able to accidentally make it harder, and more visual hints, would make this room way better.Simon
2 People, escaped in 53 mins. 3/5
My 1st escape room I'd ever attempted and had a fantastic time. Has a great aesthetic, not too dark inside the main area but does require some good use of the torch, and overall just flows really well for the most part. The 'biggest' puzzle in the room is really nicely done and felt satisfying to work out. I did have a few issues however, trying to avoid spoilers. There was something that needed opening that looked very out of place, far too clean, and so we didn't realise was an actual part of the room. There's a bit mid way through the room which wasted some time, as it breaks one of the rules you're told early in the game. Finally at the end, the wording on one of instructions was slightly misleading, and I think most people will have a different definition to the word "altar" than they use. But yeah, overall a great experience. Staff here are always excellent and helpful. Attempted with 2 people, escaped in 45 mins. 4.5/5Simon
Did this room with 3 players. Really excellent room. Has a good amount of guidance, helping you understand what you should be looking for or needing to do next, while still requiring a bit of lateral thinking and problem solving. This game is all about communication though, and that's what really makes it special. That element of being separated and having to talk through the doorways is the defining factor that will make or break your escape. We escaped in 55mins, needing 2 hints, without ever feeling too rushed. For the most part the room flowed very well, and I can't complain at the things we missed. My only slight negative was the constant quite loud static noise in the comms room, which made hearing my friends even trickier as I'm not good at listening to voices when there's lots of background sound but it wasn't a huge issue. Overall would highly recommend.Simon
Our team of 1st timers took on Placebo....and failed, the first 5 minutes I thought we'd never get anywhere never mind escape. Can't wait to come back and try all the other rooms. Brilliant staff too, gutted when they showed us how close we were to escaping. It's a great place you have there team!Sarah
We've been today, boxing day. And was greeted by 2 fantastic members of staff. The puzzles were great, the rooms were fun and we'll decorated. We had an amazing time. Didn't escape though. We did the mad scientist one. Would recommend. We will be coming againJoseph
