Description:

For centuries it has remained hidden; a distant dream, or more appropriately, nightmare. Lost to time it remained patient, awaiting its next victim.

The Maze of Hakaina’s time has now come.

An unfortunate boy entered the Maze and awakened the terrible power inside. In the footsteps of ancient samurai warriors, you must cautiously move through the horrible corridors of the Maze to save the boy, or at least, what remains of him.

You must hurry. Hakaina, the evil mistress of the Maze, awakens her demons at sunset, and in the dark they hunt. Only one hour until the sun disappears, and you with it…

We own an escape room business in the US. Was surprised that all experiences are sold as private rooms, which makes it expensive for 2 people. So, while in the lobby inquiring, another group had some players that were late. So we joined them (Matt & Jeremy)! The room was very immersive with good puzzle play and logical progression. NOT for those who are claustrophobic.

Slightly different from other escape rooms, with more smaller rooms to progress through and a challenge in each. Nice storyline, with great tension at the end and a sort of very Japanese sadness permeating the all, creating a very unique atmosphere.

The space is well used, making you lose sense of space, which is great, and creates a lovely immersion.

Only downside, the game master made it sound like we had to keep our cat masks all the way through, which compromised vision and made it hard to breathe. It should be clear once you're in the room, you can discard them.
